Hi! It’s Sena, a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen working with Prof. Dr. Elkan Akyürek and Dr. Wouter Kruijne. My doctoral research uses psychophysical, computational, and electrophysiological (EEG) methods to investigate the neural representations in working memory that support human cognition and behavior.

As part of my PhD research, I visited the Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors (IfADo) in 2024-2025 where I worked with Dr. Daniel Schneider.

I completed my Master’s degree at Sabancı University in 2023 where I worked with Dr. Eren Günseli to investigate interactions between working memory and attention using similar methods.
